RALLY FOR JUSTICE: NO ONE HELD FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT

Athens, Georgia ---- 9/22/2013----On Wednesday October 16, 2013 at 1:30pm a rally will be held in front of the courthouse at : 325 East Washington Street Athens, GA 30601. This rally will be held in support of justice for a two year old victim whom the Athens Clarke County Police has chosen to ignore for years. No arrests have been made while; an egregious crime has been committed against this child. We, The Committee For Justice, fear that a rush to make an arrest is imminent which could result in a wrongful conviction. We would like to insure that this criminal case is soundly investigated without passing the buck in a rush to close the case.

Five years ago, after the child was raped by one man and and tortured by another, an incident report was taken by the police and the child identified the perpetrators of the crime. Initially, the police and the North Georgia Cottage were involved however; the case quickly grew cold over a span of four years and was reopened when grassroots activists formed a global movement for justice.

While confirmation of rape has come from certified medical doctors; the police department states that their doctors have confirmed the injuries to be synonymous with falling off of a wooden rocking horse. We, The Committee For Justice, find this analysis to be utmost despicable.

The Committee For Justice is composed of global activists and grassroots organizers who are outraged by the lack of concern in this case. We seek justice for all involved and we also realize that Justice Is Not A Wrongful Conviction.
